Call for papers: Special Issue on Experimental Economics
Latin American Economic Review (LAER) will publish a Special Issue on Behavioral and Experimental Economics. The special issue aims to portray the uses of experiments and behavioral modeling in economics with specific application to Latin America. Hernan Bejarano (CIDE), Charlie Sprenger (Caltech), and Isabel Treviño (UCSD) will be the guest editors for the special issue.
LAER is a general interest journal on topics relevant to Latin America. The special issue will target manuscripts that use behavioral economic theory, laboratory, or field experiments to investigate broad issues of economic relevance for Latin America and its people.
There are three paths by which articles will be considered for this issue: 1) by invitation; 2) through submission to the special issue on the LAER’s online platform; and 3) by selection of papers presented in a virtual workshop on June 12th-13th, 2023.
If you wish to present in our virtual workshop, please submit your abstract, no later than May 1, 2023.
If you wish to submit your manuscript directly to the LAER Special Issue, please do so through the journal website no later than October 1, 2023.
We encourage the submission of manuscripts by underrepresented minority researchers.
In order to submit your paper, go to "make a new submission". In this page, choose "Special Issue in Experimental Economics" in the dropdown menu "Section" (not "Regular article"). All submissions must adhere to the LAER submission guidelines.
